The Beaugrenelle slab is a unique urban space which has both challenges and opportunities. Its situation in full sun throughout the day and its exposure to wind required an approach thoughtful architectural. In addition, the slab, a real point of convergence of pedestrian flows, has a mirror basin which creates a set of reflections, enriching the visual perspective.

The central idea of this project was to design a space dedicated to the reading and relaxation, a place where users could borrow A book, put one or do both! This space aimed to encourage exchange and cultural and intellectual sharing, thus creating a real interaction between users.

For the conception of this space, I was inspired by the artist Mondrian. The straight and rectilinear lines, characteristic of his work, are present everywhere on the site and symbolize the different postures of users. This made it possible to create a space that is both functional and aesthetic, which invites on reading and sharing.
